The Daily Prompt | No Time to Waste

Fill in the blank: “Life is too short to _____.” Now, write a post telling us how you’ve come to that conclusion.

1. Life is too short to live with regrets.

I know that was one of the old sayings that you’ve been hearing from the people around you. It’s pretty hard to believe them sometimes, especially if you’re not the one who could take the risk. However, my personal experiences have taught me that being safe is also keeping yourself from being happy.

Every challenge can teach you a lesson. Whether you failed on something ’cause you’ve taken the risk, a lesson is all worth it. Whatever you learn will be valuable in your life.

2. Life is too short to be afraid of falling in love.

Some of my friends are afraid to fall in love. They’re afraid to get hurt, or afraid to be left when they’ve fallen so deeply in love.

I think there’s no harm in falling in love, as long as you’re happy with who you fall into. Yes, we can’t choose whom you’re gonna fall for, and you can’t tell when. What’s important is the fact that you’re happy and inspired and contented with the love that you are getting, and the love that you’ve been giving.

Moreover, don’t get tired of showing your love to someone. He or she might fail to give back the exact amount of love that you could give, at least you know that you’ve done all the best that you can to show your love to him/her. Once you think that the love is already neglected, that’s your cue to stop and wait for someone else who’s worth the wait.

Love,

Huntress

    1. Hi Abbie! It’s feels great to hear from you again. What you’ve mentioned is right, by the way. If you keep yourself from falling in love, you might add that to the list of “things to regret” in the future. Thanks for reading! :)
