My Dream Wedding Series: Invitations

Dreaming of becoming a June bride? Or August? Probably on December. Hehe! Whenever you want to get married, it’s important that you send your invitations a few months before the said date.

With lots of the invitation inspiration you can find on Pinterest, it’s pretty hard to decide on which you must choose. Personally, I find it hard to decide whether to get the traditional invitations or pick out something new.

Let me share to you some of the photos that I’ve found via Google. They’re the prettiest wood invitations I’ve ever seen! I wonder how lovely they’d be when I’m sending it to my guests. ;)

My Dream Wedding Series: Destination Weddings

After finding the man (or woman) whom you’ll want to spend the rest of your life with, you’ll be facing the dilemma of choosing your wedding date, location, and theme. Moreover, you’ll have to complete your set of guests, members of the entourage, and even your suppliers. I think it’s best to add those gate-crashers and unwanted visitors who wanted to share (or ruin) your most precious moments. ;)

Let’s admit it ladies, we’ve been dreaming of the best wedding ever! We could only think of those fairytale weddings that would complete our life. Hmm. Would you settle for the traditional church wedding or consider the newest trends in town? It’s pretty hard to decide, right?

As much as I want a traditional church wedding, I also wanted to take the adventurous side of me in my future wedding. It’s time for a destination wedding! :D

Let me warn my dear friends that you have to start saving some funds ‘cause I want my wedding to take place in Europe. Well, that’s if you really wanted to attend MY wedding. Hehe! I wanted to enjoy my wedding ceremony while feeding my eyes with the spectacular views of the most romantic cities of the world. Starting my married life overseas is what I really wanted to experience.

Amidst my amazing daydream about my destination wedding, I wanted to share my realistic desire for that special event. I always loved the view at Mayon Rest House: its view, ambiance, and natural awesomeness. I always wanted to say my vows while on top of the mountain. While my hair was being swayed by the wind. Our happy faces are camouflaged by the green surroundings. I can’t consider myself a nature lover, but I believe a wedding is more romantic when you’re very close to nature.

photos taken in year 2011. I think there’s a lot of improvements in this area by this time. I wish I’ll be able to visit the place when I come back home. :D

If I’m gonna marry a multi-millionaire, I guess my Europe wedding would be so possible. Since I wanted to give you a glimpse of how my future ceremony would look like, let’s just stick to the second option. Destination wedding? Go for that! :)

Lots of love,

Huntress ♥

Uh? Weddings.

Things have been happening so fast lately that I had to check my schedule to make sure I never missed anything. Well, I actually wished I never reviewed my notes ‘cause it reminded of me of the Wedding Expo happening next week! Again, my wedding fever is turned ON!

Let me guess. If you knew me personally, you’d be thinking that this post would reveal my wedding details and schedule. Though I wanted to do so, I haven’t found the groom who would dare to complete my wedding fantasies. ;)

On Weddings Part 4 | Wedding Events

WHAT: Wedding Expo 2014
WHEN: March 8-9, 2014
WHERE: SMX Convention Center
EVENT ORGANIZER: Themes And Motifs

Hi everyone!

Wedding enthusiasm is back after so looong. Haha! Kidding aside, I want to share my so-called “experience” with the Wedding Expo.

I wasn’t able to attend the first day of the event, so I missed the opening number by the Company. It’s really frustrating, yet my desire to take a rest and sleep won over my desire to see them perform. LOL!

Since I don’t have anything to do on that Sunday, I decided to drag my friend with me at the expo. My soon-to-be husband isn’t around, so I need somebody’s idea other than my preference. Angelica, I suppose, is a nice person to drag along. (Peace girl..)

No one is allowed to take pictures for the sake of the distributor’s intellectual property, something like that, so I won’t be able to post photos for you. I hope we’ll be allowed to do so in the next event. Fingers crossed!

So…

I was one of the pre-registered soon-to-weds and I was given this name tag after I submitted my ticket:

I’ve been expecting lots of distributors, but I’m really surprised that they’re PLENTY of them. I got 106 suppliers on my list, and I’m so sure that I didn’t get ALL of their fliers/business cards.

Result of the Wedding Expo?

I was able to bring home fliers, calling cards, and discount cards from 106 suppliers.

I was able to bring home a copy of the latest issue of their wedding magazine.

I was able to bring home an eco-bag.

I was invited to attend two food tasting events, which I was unable to attend to due to personal reasons.

I was looking forward to attending the next Bridal Fair this coming June. Oh my! I am so excited!

On Weddings Part 3: Budget-Wise Weddings

Weddings = Big Expenses

This is one of the most important equations that a couple must remember once they decided to get married. They have to spend much of their money for dresses, flowers, rings, and catering services. They should also count the payment for the photographer, reception, and even the donation for the church. They have to spend on invitations. Long list of expenses makes you want to reconsider getting married, right?

A wedding, big or small, requires a budget. Whether we like it or not, we have to allocate some of our savings to have the best wedding ever. It depends on the couple if they’ll spend more or the other way around.

I am a fan of expensive weddings. It’s nice to see all those fabulous wedding details and reception ideas. But in our society, spending much for a ceremony might not be a wise idea. I might be dreaming of an all-out wedding, I want a perfect real one in a small budget.

Don’t be afraid to attend my wedding my dear friends. You won’t starve at my reception. Haha! I’ll make sure there’ll be food for all. ^_^

For those who have a tight budget, read my next tips. I’m not yet married (and not even considering marriage by this time), but I’m sure these tips will be bit of help for your budgeting problems.

1. Use all the available resources that you have.

If you have lots of cameras out there and a family member/friend who’s good at photography, then use those resources rather than hiring a professional photographer. You can just search the internet for ideas on pre-nuptial photo shoots. You can also instruct him/her/them on the angles that you want during the wedding and the reception.
If you have a family member/friend who can cook great dishes, why not ask for their services than hire a catering company? Spend less, right?

Ask your family members/friends about your make up, flower arrangement, and table settings. For sure they learned something about these during their high school days.

Let your wedding be a family affair by assigning certain tasks to those who want to get involved. It won’t only cut your expenses, it’ll also be your family’s bonding moments.

2. Limit your guests

You don’t have to invite the whole city for your wedding. You can limit your guests to your immediate family and very close friends. Though, there’s no harm in inviting more people, it’s budget-wise to limit the people.

Well, I believe this is where invitations will be very useful. Make sure you have enough space, favors, and food for every person who received your invitation. Always imagine them bringing another person or two for their company. It’s always advisable to adjust a bit more, but don’t overdo it to prevent wastage.

3. Finalize your plan.

The bride-to-be will definitely have lots of things in her minds, and it’s really hard to compress it in your tight budget. You can ask the help of your newly-wed friends or family members. Make sure they’re married for a span of 2 years and below. It’s best to look into their expenses when the gap isn’t really big.

Finalize your plan – the venue, the resources that you have, and the invitations. Well, don’t forget to finalize your wedding date! Make sure all those people who are part of your entourage can come on that said date.

Hmm. Much have been said, right? I hope you got some ideas on how to make a budget-wise wedding. If you might ask, I’ll be doing some of these, especially the first tip. I’m sure my fiance will find a way in giving me the best wedding ever. (I just need to find my fiance first! Haha!)
